it's delightful...it's delicious...it's dawesome

It has been said that the best things come to those who wait.

After waiting almost six months…

without further ado…

I give you the new sofa and chairs!

I wanted to wait until the room was just perfect before I posted these pictures, but lets face it, it will never be perfect. If I have learned anything about decorating a house it is this – IT IS NEVER PERFECT AND NEVER ALL DONE. In a strange way that is the beauty of it.

So, when are you coming over? We can watch a movie, or just chat together, or if you are as excited as we are you can do what we did tonight and just look at the furniture for hours.

Seriously, that is what we did!

P.S. Anyone want the book shelf in the right corner? We are looking for a new home for it. It is a really nice, sturdy book shelf.

I just love your house! Will you decorate my little apt for me? Can’t wait to see the drapes you come up with! 🙂

  3. Amanda Says:

Love it! Love it! LOVE IT! I can’t wait to see it in person! I would love to sit with you for hours and talk about how much I love them. Did I mention love?

  4. Allison Says:

Yaaaaay! Lovely beautiful fabulous! Can’t wait to see it in real life! (and I’ll bet this new couch will turn things around for the Yankees. for sure. and we’ll work on bringing your old Red Sox fan of a couch into the light. much Yankee propaganda to ensue. something must be done!!) PS curtains up, working on some pillows. yay!

  5. Bette Says:

I want to come over! I really, really do! We could watch a chick flick and eat popcorn and I promise I won’t get any crumbs on your beautiful couch or wipe my greasy fingers on it and we can talk and talk until it’s actually too late to watch a movie or until your baby wakes up or you start falling asleep or till whenever. Oh, that would be so fun.

And I know the phrase is getting thrown around a lot in our family, which is too bad, because it’s losing it’s potency, but the fact of the matter remains: your living room is TOO TREMENDOUS! I do love it. And I do love you, my sister!

  6. Brynn Zimmer Says:

And that was Brynn who said that last thing, not Bette. Bette is playing her gee-tar right now.

  7. Nikki Says:

I love it Lize. It’s gorgeous and still looks like you can sit in it. I can’t wait to come over and just talk for hours and hours.

HIP HIP HOORAY! You did it! I knew you could. And now you know that decorating or home keeping truly is an on going process. Life does not hold still. I think your living room is “loverly” and delightful! I do want to come sit with you for a spell……..
