it's delightful...it's delicious...it's dawesome

Jingle, jangle, my hair’s in a tangle!

One night I couldn’t get to sleep, my hair was in a tangle.

The next morning my mom suggested that we should go and get a bagel.

So, we went to get a bagel.

Then after the bagel, my hair was still in a tangle.

My mom said, “Dingle, dangle you hair’s in a jangle!”

Then I said, “Oye, oye, oye! I suggest we go home now.”

Mom said, “Oh, well! Let’s go home.”

For a long time my hair was in a tangle. Then mom said, “I have a great plan. To get your hair back to normal we should curl it!”

And we did!

With big curls in the back of my head.

Then my hair went – woosha, woosha, woo!

We kept it like that the whole night through.

Then when I woke up, I said, “What a hair-do!” because my hair was back to normal.

Wowza! Move over a A.A. Milne, cuz Millie Dawson’s in town! I LOVE your poem, Mills! I especially love the part about your hair going “Woosha, woosha, woo!” That’s the perfect way to describe the way curly hair goes, I think. I also love the part about getting a bagel. Sometimes when I’m in a tricky spot, I like to eat something yummy. But it’s funny how, even though eating yummy things (like bagels, for instance) can be fun and take our mind off things, they don’t usually solve the problem, yuh know? That’s why I’m glad your mom suggested curling your hair – what an ingenious and creative way to solve the problem of tangly, jangly hair!
