it's delightful...it's delicious...it's dawesome

I hear that “blagging” is the term for a blog post where you just brag your head off.

Prepare yourself for such a post!

This weekend was the LDS Film Festival (which, celebrated it’s 10th anniversary, way to go Christian!).  Last year my brother Chas’ film “Clean Break” won 3rd prize and an audience choice award.

This year my other brother Ian, I have many and they all do film, wrote and produced a film called, “Kofi” which won 2nd place in the festival and an audience choice award.

Just saying, that is pretty stinking cool.

Also, my dad had a film in the festival called, “The History of Homefront” which is a documentary about the creation of the LDS church’s award winning campaign from the 70’s and 80’s of which my dad was a part of.

So MANY awards, so MANY Mormons, SO LITTLE TIME.

While I was writing this post I got an email from yet another film brother, Cameron, sending me a script for a short film he’s just written. Which is very timely as I think next year he needs to win first place in the festival — no, pressure, Bro – but there is a pattern here which I think we should try to maintain.

On a side note:

This morning Clara was playing with a few barbies and such.

I asked her,

“Would you like a snuggle from your mom?”

She replied, “No.”

So I asked her, “Would you like to poke your mom in the eye?” (I was curious, I have a curious nature, you see.)

At which point Clara’s face LIT UP and she came right over to me and poked me in the eye. TWICE.

Some people get awards for the work they do and some people get poked in the eye.

To each their own!

I guess that’s what they mean when they say something is “better than a poke in the eye”. Now you can relate from first-hand experience.

You make me laugh Liza! Did it help that the little person poking your eye was out of this world adorable?!

You have such a diversely talented family. I love hearing what they’re up to and don’t mind your blagging at all.

As for the poke in the eye, too funny!

This was a great post, yet again my sister. Plus, Cam’s script is super doable. Just saying.

I originally heard blagging from this. http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/mispronouncing.png I wouldn’t advise you to read this comic though, some of it is profane.

Your family is amazing! I worked with a girl who upon finding out I was Mormon said “Your the church with those commercials that make me cry!”.

And I have to comment on your living room. BEAUTIFUL!! If I move to the tri-state area (no plans as of now) you will have to help me try to beautify my home. I have always been so impressed by your sense of style and fantastic eye. Good job!!!
